BLOGOSPHERE

The recent phenomenon of blogging has trasformed the way in which society lives, breathes and consumes information.

People now have the ability to recieve headlines, change them, as well as obtain the latest buz on issues newspapers and popular media won't dare to tackle. According to an article by Mark Deuze, blogs are a 'new online journalism'.

Saying this, it's clear to say that blogging simply breaks down barriers associated with mainstream forms of journalism, and gives the power to the everyday human.

For those of you unaware, a blog (or weblog) is an online diary as such, consisting of a series of entries from  its author. It 's a place where anyone has the ability to set one up and post about any issues they wish, and allows the general public to comment, and voice their opinion.

Today, as the internet becomes more social, blogs have gained a popular status. Becoming more than just online diaries, blogging has become a vital part of the online and offline worlds, with popular bloggers impacting the world of politcs, business and society with the power of just their words.

The community has the opportunity to be informed, taught and enterained by blogs, and to be acknowledged by sharing their opinions.

Nowdays, businesses are reaslising more and more that blogging is not just a way to share thoughts, opinions and ideas, but as a platform to develop a community, grow a loyal fan base and build a brand that people can emotionally connect with.

It seems this phenomenon won't be dying down anytime soon. Inevitably, blogging will become even more powerful in the future with more people and businesses recognizing the power of bloggers as online influencers.
